We have major growth plans through expansion of our undersea robotics range and support services. Our Innovation team is charged with developing technologies to support these growth plans.

Next generation subsea robotics will rely on increased intelligence and data management. As we pave the way for the future of subsea robotics, we are seeking passionate individuals who are eager to make a difference and drive innovation in underwater vehicle control electronics, data collection, and instrument interface.

We are well-funded with planned expansion of R&D facilities and laboratories/Our Innovation Facility will be more than just a collection of labs; it's a testament to our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what's possible. By bringing together diverse teams, cutting-edge technology, and world-class facilities, we are creating an ecosystem where innovation thrives.

The Role

You will be responsible for the development of vehicle electronic sub-systems and products, either directly or in conjunction with development partners. This will include electronic systems design, creation of the technical specifications, validation throughout the design process, testing and final verification.

For this role, you will require a degree in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) and have a strong understanding of components/ schematics, PCBS and circuit design theory.

Experience and knowledge of the following is also a requirement:

Microprocessors and digital electronics.
Interfacing to sensors and systems.
Communication standards (RS232,485, I2C, Ethernet, MODBUS etc.).
Fault finding at component and board level.
Use of test equipment (meters, scopes, data capture).
Soldering and wire assembly. From time to time, you will get involved in supporting the existing range of electronic systems and circuit boards including obsolescence, fault finding, updating firmware and repair work (soldering).

Experience in either AutoCAD, Inventor (3D), Altium or equivalent PCB design package, would be beneficial but not essential.

We are looking for someone who will get excited about working on the next generation of undersea robots. Who is flexible and not afraid of rolling their sleeves up. Who has a positive and proactive approach to their role with the ability to work with a team under pressure and to tight deadlines.
