My client is a World Leading Construction and Civil Engineering Company.

They are presently delivering major substation project in the Carlisle area and need reinforcements in the form of a Site Engineer.

The successful candidate will have experience of setting out on civil engineering projects.

My client would currently consider applications from those seeking both permanent and contract positions.

Duties include:

Setting out with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
Manage all engineering activity providing direction to the direct workforce and subcontractors
Quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement
Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocationsProduce as-built drawings in AutoCAD
