The Software Engineer will work on the complete development lifecycle of flight safety and navigation systems, from concept and algorithm design to system integration and testing. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-performance solutions, maintain high-quality code, and produce comprehensive documentation.

The engineer will use 3D CAD to design special-purpose machinery, conduct design reviews, ensure compliance with safety standards, and collaborate with electrical teams and manufacturing staff. Key responsibilities include risk assessment, BOM creation, supplier negotiation, and maintaining technical documentation while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Design and develop control systems for automated logistics solutions, including programming Siemens PLCs from scratch, creating HMI interfaces, and implementing safety-compliant software. Commission systems both in the UK and occasionally overseas, with responsibility for end-to-end project delivery at an engineering level. Work across workshop and site environments as part of a collaborative controls team.
