About Engineius

Engineius’ goal is simple: to make vehicle movement easy. We are on our way to creating the leading end-to-end movement solution in the UK for our customers (such as Hertz and The AA), delivered by our network of 600+ drivers and transport agents across the UK.

Since going live in April 2018, we have acquired over 80 clients, many of whom can claim to be amongst the largest players in the UK automotive industry. We are already one of the largest competitors in our space but have ambitions to grow much further and we are crazy about sustainability. To date we have saved fleets over 9,000,000 tonnes of CO2.

We are seeing our hard work paying off as we have won seven awards, including Best Fleet Software three years in a row, a highly commended well-being award, two innovation awards, and one outstanding product of the year award.

We also have some data processing services and machine learning workloads.

You will be a core member of the IT team delivering our 24/7 production system. Having been involved in production systems with multiple years of experience, you will have architected and built new applications and features, provided ongoing improvements and fixes. You’ll be the type of Engineer who is very comfortable diving deep into code. With this knowledge you’ll be able to quickly get up to speed with our application domain and start making an impact.

For the mobile development, we are looking for experience of Kotlin and Swift, and for someone who has experience developing native mobile apps and APIs.

You will be working alongside the Developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality solutions is essential.

As we are in our ‘growth phase’ you will be joining this expanding IT team. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, enjoys the vibrant nature of a start-up like environment, is focused on helping us to build our platform, adaptable to change, and keen to help in our overall vision.

What You'll Do:

Break any design problem down into viable actionable units of work and solve them with clarity and precision.
Staying in the loop and on top of the latest standards, changes, trends in the mobile/web design field.
Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code.
Cooperating with the back-end developers in the process of building the RESTful API.
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
Help maintain code quality, organisation, and automation.
Help maintain build server Xcode and packages.

What We're Looking For:

Hands-on experience with core iOS frameworks such as UIKit, Combine, Core Data, and Core Animation.
Ability to optimise and enhance the performance of iOS applications.
Proven track record of developing and maintaining iOS applications.
Proven ability to deliver high quality designs to meet customer requirements.
Deep knowledge of SPA best practices, architecture and modularisation based on extensive work experience.
Experience with offline storage, threading and performance tuning.

Deep understanding of Apple’s HID guidelines, and Google’s Material design.
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and Push Notifications.
Knack for Benchmarking and Optimisation.
Proficient understanding of version control software such as Git.
Familiarity with continuous integration.
Multiple years development and delivery of mobile applications in a commercial environment on iOS/Android platforms with a portfolio of mobile applications that demonstrate your ability to build and support mobile applications that integrate into corporate business critical systems.
Significant portfolio of applications built with a SPA framework either wholly by yourself or as part of a team where significant portions of the application were built by you.

Robotics Jobs for Non‑Technical Professionals: Where Do You Fit In?

The Rise of Robots—and the People Behind Them Robots are welding cars in Sunderland, packing groceries in Hatfield and inspecting offshore turbines in Aberdeen. According to the UK Robotics Growth Partnership (RGP), the domestic robotics market could reach £13 billion by 2030, creating more than 150,000 jobs. Yet many job‑seekers still believe robotics careers are limited to writing ROS nodes or designing gearboxes. The truth? RGP’s 2024 Skills Audit shows 40 % of advertised robotics roles focus on business, safety, ethics or project delivery, not engineering. Robots need managers, compliance officers, storytellers and change agents to leave the lab and add value on the warehouse floor. This guide highlights the fastest‑growing non‑coding robotics roles, the transferable skills you already have, real transition stories and a 90‑day action plan—no soldering iron required.
