Contract Type: Permanent   

Location: Edinburgh or Glasgow or Alderley Park (Wilmslow)

We are serious about innovating to help more people achieve financial resilience and are looking for an ambitious strategy consultant to join our team to collaborate with senior leaders on shaping our priorities and approach on AI to transform our business and deliver more value for our customers and clients.

Reporting to the Head of Data & AI Strategy, you will be responsible for developing key elements of our AI strategy and roadmap for adoption and shaping and coordinating strategic initiatives to use AI to deliver value for our customers.

This role acts as the bridge between cutting edge Data and AI technologies, and real-world business opportunities. Your critical thinking and expertise in AI will ensure that we join the dots on key opportunities to deliver our purpose, differentiating our business to ensure future success and enabling opportunities to improve organisational effectiveness.

About the role  

·      Research and share insights on emerging trends in AI to identify and advocate on actionable opportunities to increase customer and business value.  

·      Define key elements of the AI value proposition with stakeholders, qualify strategic opportunities for value, appraise options and architecture treatments.   

·      Take the lead on critical initiatives to increase our data & AI maturity, ensuring we put in place a scalable operating model to execute on our business strategy through AI to navigate a clear path to value that will enable our organisation to accelerate adoption and embrace new opportunities and ways of working.   

·      Represent Group Data & AI Office in key forums to ensure enterprise-wide clarity and alignment on strategic priorities and initiatives.   

·      Collaborate with Business, Transformation, Technology and other partners to define elements of our Data & AI Strategy and translate these into a clear, actionable roadmap for implementation.   

·      Collaborate effectively to smooth the transition for strategic opportunities from Strategy into Transformation / delivery, by working in close partnership with subject matter experts from the broader Data & AI communities of practice, tech and change community.

About You  

·      Consultancy skills: business acumen and outcomes focused mindset

·      Critical thinking and analytical skills  

·      Solid understanding of AI including emerging/ best practices in Generative AI, Machine Learning Operations and LLM Ops

·      Experience in strategy development and execution and/ or transformational leadership involving data, AI or digital (including operating model design) with proven impact of value creation 

·      Beneficial : Knowledge of financial services and / or experience of working in transformation in any other high volume, regulated industry such as telecommunications or media, would be beneficial   

·      Outstanding stakeholder management / influencing skills all levels (including C-Suite) enabling you to pitch ideas and bring people on a journey
