Automation Sales Engineer. £50,000 - £60,000 + Bonus scheme + Car

  • Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, Business Development professional to join a well-established leading business who supply robotic & automation solutions to the manufacturing industry.

  • Newly created role in a growing, successful team, focussing on growing key accounts as well as generating new business. Very consultative and targeted on quality over quantity when it comes to their sales approach.

  • Very suited to someone with a technical background in engineering, robotics, mechatronics or similar who has moved into a commercially focussed role. They provide bespoke systems, so this person will need to have a good technical understanding.

  • An understanding of the manufacturing industry (Pharmaceuticals, Automotive, Food / Process and Distribution).

  • Excellent long-term capabilities within an SME business, working closely with the Sales Director. A very free / autonomous role, offices in Gloucester, and customer across the UK.

  • Roughly £50,000 - £60,000 + Car or Car Allowance + Wider company benefits. You will need a full UK driving license and be happy with travel and working autonomously.

    This Automation Sales Engineer job will suit:

  • Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, Business Development professional or similar – you will be accustomed to travelling to customer manufacturing sites across the UK

  • Technically astute (Mechanical & Electrical), Good knowledge of Manufacturing & Production machinery – specifically capital equipment, conveyors, PLC’s, robotics and similar.

  • You could work in a related industry; Automotive, Food & Process, Pharmaceutical, Distribution or similar.

  • Accustomed to working in an autonomous role – you will manage your own visits, pipeline and work in a very free role reporting into the Sales Director. Long sales cycles for high value projects.

  • Engineering knowledge – qualifications or experience working in a technical role.

  • Able to travel to customer sites – full UK driving license.

    This is an autonomous job and is commutable from Gloucester, Oxford, Northampton, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, Coventry, Warwick, Birmingham, Swindon and other areas across England.
