The RoleAs a Computer Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and rigorous lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5), equipping students with the skills and knowledge to thrive in a digital age.

You will foster curiosity, logical thinking, and creativity through a curriculum that includes:

Programming (Python, Java, or similar)
Algorithms and data structures
Computer systems and architecture
Cybersecurity and networks
Databases and software development
Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies (desirable)Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that challenge and inspire.
Develop students' coding, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Use a variety of teaching methods and digital tools to enhance learning.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback.
Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities such as coding clubs, hackathons, or robotics.
Stay current with technological advancements and integrate them into teaching.Essential Qualifications and Experience

A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
Experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level (KS3 and KS4 essential; KS5 desirable).
Strong knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
Familiarity with exam board specifications (e.g., OCR, AQA, Edexcel).
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Desirable Attributes

Experience teaching A-Level Computer Science or BTEC IT.
Knowledge of AI, machine learning, or game development.
Experience with cloud platforms, version control (e.g., Git), or databases.
A passion for digital innovation and student engagement.
