Are you a forward-thinking Computer Science teacher with a passion for coding, digital literacy, and preparing students for the future?

We are working in partnership with a number of progressive secondary schools in Northampton, all seeking a dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join their teams from September 2025. These are full-time roles with both long-term and permanent opportunities, depending on your preference.

With increasing student interest in tech-related pathways, these schools are expanding their Computing provision and are looking for teachers who can deliver engaging, industry-relevant content - from programming fundamentals to real-world applications in cybersecurity, software development, and AI.

About the Role:

Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 available for suitably experienced candidates)

Teach topics such as programming (Python, JavaScript, or similar), algorithms, data representation, and computer systems

Foster digital literacy and computational thinking in a way that is accessible and inspiring to all learners

Create a classroom culture that promotes curiosity, resilience, and independence in problem-solving

Contribute to curriculum development, bringing creativity and relevance to schemes of work

Support extracurricular computing initiatives such as coding clubs, robotics challenges, or e-sports events

Play a role in exam preparation, coursework moderation, and intervention strategies to raise attainment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or a recognised equivalent

Have a strong understanding of the Computer Science curriculum and modern teaching practices

Demonstrate confidence in delivering programming languages and theory at a secondary level

Show a commitment to inclusive education and the ability to engage students of all abilities

Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills

Be open to ongoing training and career development - whether an ECT or experienced practitioner
