Electrical Maintenance Technician

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their on-site team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong electrical background to play a vital role in maintaining and improving production operations in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: £44,000 + plus shift allowance

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour rotating shifts (days,evenings and nights). Overtime and on-call weekend availability required.

Type: Permanent

Your Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair electrical faults across a wide range of production equipment
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance with a focus on electrical systems
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and procedures
Support the integration and maintenance of control panels, sensors, and automation systems
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
Assist with the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment

What We're Looking For:

Experience in a manufacturing or production setting
Strong electrical bias (ideally 70:30 electrical to mechanical)
Proficient in working with single-phase and 3-phase systems
Experience with heater systems, safety circuits, and fault-finding on control systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation

Desirable Skills:

Familiarity with PLCs, automation, and robotics
Experience with power distribution, motor control, and variable speed drives
Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field
