Position Overview:

The HSE Advisor will be responsible for assisting and maintaining Health, Safety and Environmental, (HSE), guidance and training. Ensuring compliance with legislation, company policies and processes. Maintaining the HSE management system to minimise risk and help provide a safe working environment within the company, covering all areas and sites.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Assist the Head of QHSE in the development and maintenance of the company's HSE policies, processes and Management System.
Monitor the implementation of HSE policies and propose improvements where appropriate.
Assist with the Implementation of HSE continuous improvement in line with business objectives.
Conduct HSE training including HSE induction training for new staff in collaboration with the HR team.
Provide input to the Management Review relating to the HSE management system.
Provide assistance during preparation for, and participate in, audits conducted by the company's certification bodies and customers.
Provide support and guidance to the management team on HSE issues. Work closely with all departments within the company to communicate HSE policies.
Identify hazards, support all departments when reviewing/developing risk assessments. Provide KPI's to measure the company's performance for HSE.
Produce and communicate reports to production and engineering staff in all matters relating to safety, including near misses.
Monitor the company's impact on the environment through disposal of waste and use of energy etc. Provide reports for senior management.
To undertake any other duties as appropriate as required by the Hd of QHSE.

Key Skills:

NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
A good understanding of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Knowledge with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
To act ethically, with integrity and in the best interest of the business at all times.
