Maintenance Manager | County Cork | €60K-€70K

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to join a leading food production business based in County Cork. This role is with a well-established confectionery manufacturer that forms part of a larger, highly respected food group. The facility is purpose-built and home to a range of automated and semi-automated production lines. This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is passionate about driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead and support a small, skilled engineering team in maintaining and improving production line efficiency.
Oversee both planned and reactive maintenance activities across a variety of modern industrial equipment.
Ensure rapid response to breakdowns and implement root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
Maintain high standards of health and safety, equipment reliability, and documentation.
Manage spare parts inventory and liaise with external contractors and suppliers.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support minor project work as needed.Criteria

Minimum 8 years' experience in industrial maintenance, ideally within food or FMCG environments.
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills; knowledge of pneumatics and industrial control systems is highly desirable.
Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and industrial automation systems is a distinct advantage.
Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and specifications.
Proficiency in MS Office 365 and familiarity with bakery equipment such as mixers, depositors, and flow wrappers is beneficial.
A proactive, self-motivated leader with excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.Reward
