Monday to Friday – 40 hrs per week Double days plus occasional night shift on a rota basis
We are currently recruiting for well-established global manufacturer in Telford who are looking for an experienced Maintenance Team Leader to join the business. As the Maintenance Team Leader you will be responsible for leading a small team of maintenance technicians, allocating daily workload, ensuring KPIs are met, and developing team performance and providing leadership. You will also be hands on with maintenance activities such as responding to breakdowns, conducting preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring machinery is running efficiently and supporting with continuous improvement activities.
We are looking for someone who is multiskilled, ideally electrically biased who has previous experience leading maintenance teams with strong leadership qualities.
The Maintenance Team Leader will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing a small team of maintenance technicians
  • Allocating day to day workload and monitoring individual performance
  • Planning and managing total preventative maintenance
  • Ensuring KPIs and quality standards are met
  • Responding to machine breakdowns or faults and conducting mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Supporting with onsite continuous improvement activities
  • Communicating machine faults and any issues across shifts and relevant departments
  • Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to
    Skills and Experience
  • Multiskilled – Ideally Electrically bias but not essential
  • Previous experience leading maintenance teams or leadership experience
  • Experience fault finding and repairing pneumatics, hydraulics and ideally PLCs and robots
  • Previously worked in a high-volume manufacturing environment such as food manufacturing, FMCG or Automotive
  • This role would suit a candidate with previous experience in roles such as Maintenance Team Leader / Maintenance Supervisor / Maintenance Lead / Multiskilled Maintenance Team Leader / Multiskilled Maintenance supervisor / Multiskilled Maintenance Lead
