Overview

We are seeking a Multi skilled Maintenance Technician's to join our manufacturing/production department. This role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and minimising production downtime through proactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and equipment optimisation.

Key Responsibilities and Experience

Equipment Maintenance & Repair

Operate, maintain, diagnose faults, and repair all engineering department equipment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
Understanding of electrical/engineering drawings and technical documentation
Understanding of preventive maintenance principles and practices
Familiarity with cold end work areas and equipment including inspection, bottle transportation, and packaging systems.
Identify, diagnose, and rectify mechanical and electrical faults and breakdowns within the engineering department.
Modify and adjust for set up, inspection, and packaging equipment to maintain efficient operations and minimise downtime.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance as scheduled and record all activities using SAP system.
Respond promptly to equipment failures to ensure minimal production impact.
Provide technical support during job changes to minimise changeover downtime.
Collaborate with production teams to optimise equipment performance and troubleshoot operational issues.
This position requires a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all aspects of work performance.

Team Leadership & Communication

Communicate effectively with all department employees to maintain a well-informed and cohesive team.
Cover Shift responsibilities when required, demonstrating leadership and decision-making capabilities.
Working as a team, share knowledge and provide technical guidance to team members

Health, Safety & Compliance

Manufacturing environment with exposure to industrial equipment and machinery
May require working at heights using mobile elevated work platforms.
Shift work including potential out-of-hours coverage.
Physical demands include lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
Work to Company Health and Safety Procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
Perform housekeeping duties in accordance with Company Hygiene Rules and standards.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Experience & Qualifications

Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualifications (Minimum NVQ Lv3 or equivalent)
Multiskilled Engineering Maintenance experience - Proven track record in industrial maintenance and engineering equipment repair
Experience working in manufacturing or production environment.
Proficiency in electronic communication methods and systems SAP, WMS or similar
Competency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
Valid forklift truck operating license beneficial
MEWP certification beneficial
Strong written communication abilities for documentation and reporting
Excellent verbal communication skills for team interaction and technical discussions
