About the job you’re considering

OT Framework Technical Lead - East England - Hybrid

Are you passionate about shaping the future of Operational Technology (OT) in critical infrastructure? We’re looking for a dynamic OT Framework Technical Lead to join our team and drive innovation in water infrastructure resilience, ecological sustainability, and regional growth.

As our OT Framework Technical Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering a transformative infrastructure enhancement project. You’ll lead the technical strategy and implementation of OT systems, ensuring they’re secure, future-ready, and aligned with our environmental and operational goals.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including: identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)

Your role

  • Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of OT systems across our infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams to integrate OT into strategic developments.

  • Develop and uphold OT standards, policies, and procedures in line with industry best practices.

  • Mentor and guide a team of OT engineers and technicians.

  • Ensure OT systems are resilient to climate impacts and support ecological improvements.

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Stay ahead of emerging OT technologies and assess their potential.

  • Engage with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration within the AMP8 plan.

You can bring your whole self to work. At Capgemini building an inclusive future is part of everyday life and will be part of your working reality. We have built a representative and welcoming environment, for everyone.

    Your skills and experience

  • A degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred)

  • 8+ years of experience in OT systems, including 5+ years in a leadership role

  • Strong knowledge of SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, and industrial control systems

  • Experience in the water industry is a plus

  • Solid understanding of OT security frameworks (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82)

Don’t meet every single requirements? Studies have shown women and people of colour are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. We are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every requirement in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.

    Your security clearance

To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.

There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.

There are other criteria and checks required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.

What does ‘Get The Future You Want ‘ mean for you?

You will be encouraged to have a positive work-life balance. Our hybrid-first way of working means we embed hybrid working in all that we do and make flexible working arrangements the day-to-day reality for our people. All UK employees are eligible to request flexible working arrangements.

You will be joining one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies®, as recognised by Ethisphere® for 12 consecutive years. We live our values by making ethical business choices every day. Working ethically is at the centre of our culture at Capgemini, meaning you will be helping to create a future we can all be proud of.
