Are you a skilled Automation Engineer with a passion for PLC design and control systems? Do you have a background in manufacturing and want to work on complex, high-impact projects in heavy industry and the chemical sector?
We’re working with a highly respected engineering company based in Brighouse, supplying automation and control solutions to the heavy industrial and chemical markets. With a strong project pipeline and continued growth, they’re now looking to bring in a talented PLC / Automation Design Engineer to join their expert team.
⚙️ The Role: You’ll be responsible for designing and developing PLC-based control systems from concept to completion, supporting a range of industrial automation projects.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and programming PLC and HMI systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)

  • Developing control system architecture and producing supporting documentation

  • Working closely with electrical design engineers, project managers, and clients

  • Supporting factory testing, commissioning, and occasional site visits

  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and site safety requirements

    🧠 What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong experience in PLC programming and automation design

  • Background in a manufacturing, process, or industrial environment

  • Knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, and system integration

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings (EPlan/AutoCAD experience a bonus)

  • Hands-on, solutions-driven mindset with a collaborative approach
