Job Role: Production Administrative Assistant

Location: Borehamwood
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Overview:

We are looking for a Production Administrative Assistant to join our team producing bespoke systems. You'll be involved in numerous aspects for a thriving, well established manufacturing business who is a leader in their field. This is an excellent opportunity to build your skills within a specialist manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Working alongside the person responsible for purchasing, production and customer aftercare
Administration utilising company software management system - SAP Business One
Managing and maintaining supplier relationships
Monitoring and negotiating purchase prices and managing any increases
Buying components required for specific customer orders
Preparing paperwork for shipping overseas including to the EU

Production:

Creating production orders for stocked items or customer vehicle 'fit work'
Checking open orders daily and making sure goods are despatched on time
Electronically allocating stock to the correct warehouses to ensure delivery
Ensuring all paperwork is scanned and saved onto SAP
Updating and maintaining the production schedule and ensuring production paperwork is with the relevant engineers
Producing weekly Production Meeting minutes and circulating to the team
Receipting goods from production to generate the final product for despatch
Finalising and closing off production orders
Updating SAP with the correct parts for bills of materials within production orders

Aftercare:

Raising service calls with customers for repairs and service work
Providing customers with quotations for repairs and providing progress updates
Coordinating with third-parties or subcontractors to carry out repairs
Scheduling appointments with customers to bring vehicles in for inspection and repair
Advising customers of any changes to repair costs once work has begun
Arrange collection of vehicles once work is complete
Take payment where required before releasing vehicle

Experience & Skills:

Self-starter, good at prioritising workload
Strong administrative and project management background
Able to identify priorities and deliver tasks on time
Can build and maintain good customer and supplier relationships (internal/external)
Exceptional communication skills, cheerful personality and team player
Customer centric, providing exceptional service whilst managing expectations
Commercial acumen and strong negotiator
Confident and organised with a methodical approach
Demonstrable IT skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Web, Supplier Portals, etc.
SAP Business One experience would be advantageous
Located within an hour commute of the Elstree premises
