Robotics Software Engineer

Are you an experienced Robotic Weld Operator with experience of setting and operating computer controlled machines/robots to perform one or more machine functions on steel products? This role is based at a very busy manufacturing company located in Sandbach. They are looking to grow their current team due a full order book, and more orders coming in weekly.

As a Robotic Weld Operator, you will be based on the shop floor working Mornings and Afternoons on a rotating basis. Offering an hourly rate of £14 - £17.50 per hour including shift allowance + extensive overtime + overtime bonus over 48 hours

As a Robotic Weld Operator your role will involve:

  • Setting and Operating computer controlled robot
  • Measure dimensions of finished product to ensure conformance to customer specifications using measuring equipment, templates, and fixtures.
  • Actively and diligently manage all machine control settings and making necessary adjustments
  • Setting up jobs whilst robots are in operation.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
  • Inspection of own work using a host of conventional measuring techniques (micrometers, verniers, height gauges etc)
  • Monitoring consumables and raising internal requisitions for stock as required

    Suitable Candidate:

  • Experienced Robotic Weld Operator
  • Experience of working within an Engineering Manufacturing company previously
  • Reliable, ambitious and have a positive can do attitude.
  • Work well as part of a team as well as individually.
  • Good time management, being productive and efficient.
  • Work on one off components as well as batch work.
