Due a recent company merger and substantial stakeholder investment in R&D, our client is seeking the services of a Senior C Developer to help spearhead development and coding projects.

Please note, due to the essential need for product training and on-site collaboration with the wider team, you will be required full time in the Nottingham office for an initial period of time. Providing suitable training has been conducted, there will be a future option for hybrid working.

In return, you can expect to receive a generous starting salary of up to £70,000, plus full entitlement to an annual bonus scheme, private healthcare scheme, flexible working options, paid overtime, and genuine opportunities for progression.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee each phase of the software life cycle, including design, programming, configuration, and site implementation

  • Conducting code review from internal Developers and suppliers

  • Develop software for bespoke automation pilot systems using a mix of MS Visual Studio, C, C++, SQL and VB.NET

  • Develop key knowledge of bespoke automation control systems, and assist with maintaining database systems, including dashboards, and extracting analytic reports to review performance

  • Use SQL servers daily to review dashboards and produce detailed reports

  • Provide considerable contributions to internal projects within the Development team set by the Development Manager

  • Consult closely with cross departmental management team, key stakeholders, and on-site customers

    Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable low level C programming experience essential

  • Previous experience working with VB.NET/.NET & C# web development stacks highly desirable

  • Previous experience in conducting C code reviews

  • Proficient user of SQL, with the ability to produce reports and maintain dashboards

  • Previous experience in the factory process control or industrial automation sector preferable

  • Previous experience configuring and implementing control systems would be useful but not essential

  • Able to work collaboratively in a team orientated environment
