The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Civil Engineer to join a design team working on a range of projects across sectors including water, heavy industrial, power, and design and build. Based in Bridgend, this permanent role involves technical and delivery responsibility for multiple small projects or a larger scheme, reporting to a Senior Project Engineer.

Responsibilities

Prepare outline and detailed civil engineering designs in accordance with current standards
Produce well-structured design calculations, reports and drawings using BIM-led tools
Apply sound engineering principles across project phases
Use industry software such as STAAD Pro, FEM Analysis and Design, or Autodesk Robot
Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions
Manage planning and resource allocation to ensure delivery within programme and budget
Provide leadership to more junior engineers and contribute to technical development
Engage with clients and attend sites to provide buildable solutions Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline
Strong experience with Eurocodes and UK industry standards
Ability to manage resources and project timelines
Confident communicator with clients and teams
Chartered or working towards chartership with an appropriate professional body
Willingness to work from other locations or sites when required What’s in it for me?
