An international leader in their field, part of a global group with a high volume of new business have now created a number of Senior Controls Engineer roles to take the technical lead for a number of projects in the UK, Europe and Worldwide.

Senior Controls Engineer

£60,000 - £80,000 + Profit Share + Benefits

County Antrim, Northern Ireland - relocation assistance available

Senior Controls Engineer - The Role:

  • Be responsible for the creation and development of machine software solutions for special purpose automated machinery projects.

  • Deliver control and safety systems which comply with the appropriate national and international standards

  • Programming and commissioning of various robots

  • Test and debug software applications and produce detailed test plans

  • Produce software documentation

  • Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and team members

  • Be responsible for testing within the factory test and on customer sites

  • Be part of a team dedicated to delivering projects to plan and budget

    Senior Controls Engineer - The Person:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role ideally with experience in Rockwell / Allen Bradley though other PLCs will be considered and training can be provided

  • Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully delivering machine control system projects to required timescale and budget

  • Experienced in automation and production machinery design, ideally with a hands-on approach

  • Experience of working with vision systems, HMIs, motion control or robotics would be beneficial

  • A highly commercial approach with the ability to work directly with customers

  • Willing and able to travel to customer sites both nationally and internationally for commissioning, 1-2 weeks a few times per year

  • Effective interpersonal relationship skills to create a positive and productive team-oriented environment with all departments

  • A proactive and flexible approach to work and be comfortable with a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities

    Located in the County Antrim, relocation assistance can be provided and the role is also open to experienced individuals based in the UK/Ireland requiring sponsorship.
