Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
Hours: Monday to Friday (normal dayshift)
Type: Full Time, Permanent

At Syntech Recruitment, we’re proud to be working with a global engineering leader to find a talented and experienced Senior Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Engineer. Based near Millford, Surrey and working internationally on cutting-edge projects, this role will challenge and grow your expertise, from concept design through to site commissioning.

Senior EI&C Engineer responsibilities:

As a Senior EI&C Engineer, you’ll take ownership across all phases of development, ensuring the seamless integration of control systems. This is your chance to work with leading technology, travel globally, and collaborate with a world-class team.

Lead design and development of EI&C systems from initial concepts to commissioning
Design and configure PLC/HMI/SCADA platforms (preferably Siemens and/or Ignition)
Generate detailed engineering documents: wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, I/O lists, FDS
Select and specify key hardware: field instruments, analysers, safety devices, valves
Oversee and support FAT, SAT, and on-site commissioning
Ensure compliance with IEC, BS, EN, ATEX, SIL and relevant industry standards
Collaborate with mechanical and process teams for seamless system integration
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineersSenior EI&C Engineer Experience:

Proven background in industrial automation and process control (ideally in gas or chemical industries)
Strong experience with electrical systems and control panel design
Proficiency in tools like EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, Siemens TIA Portal, Ignition SCADA
Knowledge of functional safety (SIL) and ATEX/DSEAR compliance
A relevant engineering degree; Chartered Engineer (CEng) status desirable
