You’ll be joining our Civils projects team- We deliver specialist civil engineering for the private and public sectors across the UK, building strong relationships based on a collaborative approach.

What will you be doing?
You'll ensure the highest possible Health, Safety & Environmental standards are employed across the project, adhering to the company  Infrastructure health and safety policy/environmental policy while actively supporting the safety culture that is an integral part of the M Group Highways working environment.
 
Manage site engineering activities including engineering control, setting out, providing direction to the workforce and leading quality control systems to ensure compliance with project design and specifications.
 
Represent M Group Highways and the Client in a professional manner at all times, be customer focused and proactive in managing customer interface to prevent / eliminate complaints.
 
Survey & engineering control - Responsible for checking all contractor and direct labour works.
 
Liaise with commercial team to manage changes identified on site
 
Engage with the commercial team and capture costs for the commercial performance of the project.
 
Keep   accurate   records   including site diary, records   of   works   activities,  resource allocations   and   as-built information.
 
Assist in preparation of health and safety files and post completion reports.
 
Participate in Value Management process and Value Engineering reviews as required.
 
Ensure compliance with Milestone and Client H&S, Quality and Environmental processes, procedures, reporting and performance requirements.
What you’ll bring

A high level of experience in civil engineering and workforce supervision specifically earthworks; drainage, structures and surfacing.
Skilled at setting out and surveying with both GPS and Robotic Total Stations.
The ability to establish effective relationships with contacts at all levels including clients, colleagues, and sub-contractors.
The ability to remain flexible in your approach to the role whilst embracing change and helping to drive that change.
Highly organised and able to manage priorities, whilst multi-tasking for many stakeholders, and remaining focussed on what is important.
Document review including the use of AutoCAD for planning and take off.
Passionate about achieving an injury-free environment, choosing to work safely and influencing others to do the same. Committed to caring for people’s safety.
