We're working with an innovative consultancy that's expanding its geophysical services and looking to recruit a Senior Geophysicist. This role is perfect for someone driven and detail-oriented, with a strong background in leading complex geophysical projects and mentoring junior colleagues.

You’ll take ownership of challenging projects, collaborating with industry professionals while applying advanced geophysical methods. The role involves shaping survey strategies, overseeing data collection, and delivering insightful analysis to clients across diverse sectors including infrastructure, environmental, and utilities.

You’ll operate within a supportive, dynamic team environment, combining office-based work with occasional field visits—mostly within the UK, with some international travel possible.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • At least 7 years’ experience in near-surface geophysical investigations, managing large-scale and complex assignments

  • Strong technical knowledge of geophysical techniques such as Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), electromagnetics, magnetometry, microgravity, resistivity, and seismic methods

  • Expertise in data processing and interpretation software (e.g., Oasis Montaj, Res2Dinv, GeoGiga), with Python scripting and GIS tools (AutoCAD, ArcGIS, QGIS) highly desirable

  • Proven leadership skills with ability to guide project teams and communicate technical information clearly to diverse audiences

  • Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement in geophysical applications

  • Postgraduate degree in geophysics or a related discipline
