What the role will involve

We are looking for a Support Engineer to join our Technical Services Team. You will be required to assist with the development, installation, commissioning, and support of the System Electronics, Radio Frequency (RF), and Information Technology (IT) elements for ICI EMEA’s products and services, as well as provide technical support to existing and potential customers in the UK and overseas on Electronic, RF, and IT-related ICI EMEA products and services.

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

·Assist with the support, design, installation, configuration and commissioning of Systems, as well as Electronic, Radio Frequency, and IT Sub-Systems in a networked environment

·Take responsibility for aspects of commissioning, delivery and deployment of ICI EMEA products/systems and upgrades, including taking part in the Factory and System Acceptance, as well as providing technical assistance during the deployment phase

·Provide technical support and assistance for customer delivery projects and deployed systems

·Undertake site visits for existing customers both overseas and in the UK, during which you will be expected to provide the customer with product/system support

·Prepare documentation/training material and assist with customer training both overseas and in the UK

·Offer support to other functional areas where their technical expertise is relevant, including supplying technical documentation to support bid preparations, offering advice/guidance to support technical decision making on specific projects

·Provide input to the overall design of Intelligence and Cyber EMEA products

·Build close customer relationships to understand their future requirements, facilitating future business opportunities

·Contribute to the continuous improvement of company systems/products by understanding the customer’s needs and wants

·Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by management

·Proactively support company compliance to Health and Safety legislation through adherence to company polices, processes and practices

·Ensure that all business activity is conducted in line with company values, policies and ethics codes of conduct

What you’ll bring

The role requires the following experience and skills:

·5 Years+ experience working in a practical IT, Systems or Radio Frequency role

·Exceptional standard of technical and computer literacy

·Understanding of system integration of multiple sub-systems and devices

·Understanding of Radio Frequency and Data communications systems

·Excellent practical and problem solving skills

·Excellent interpersonal skills, to develop effective partnerships and relationships in a multi-discipline environment

·Strong team player who is flexible, adaptable, and able to multi-task

·Good presentation skills

·Self-motivated learner who must be able to identify their own training requirements, and have the willingness to be involved in activities outside of their immediate area of expertise, learning new skills on the job

·Visit customer sites both overseas and in the UK, for system delivery and support activities

Due to the nature of our work many our roles require a UK nationality and the ability to obtain a security clearance. Applicants who accept a conditional offer of employment must meet the requirement of right to work in the UK and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and will be subject to government security checks
