Trainee Maintenance Technician | Witney | £30,000pa plus £4,000pa bonus | Night Shift 4 on 4 off:

A leading manufacturer based in the Witney area is looking to recruit a Trainee Maintenance Technician to join their night shift operation working 4 days on, 4 days off. This Trainee Maintenance role would be perfect for an engineering apprentice who is looking at making that next step in their career. You will be supported by an excellent team and you get on the job training. During your shift, the Trainee Maintenance Technician will carry out routine machine setting, machinery maintenance and running of the production lines and equipment to ensure production runs smoothly, their products meet quality standards, and the equipment is properly maintained.

The Trainee Maintenance Technician key duties include:

Selection of robot and machine settings
Troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and processes
Initiating and installing of repairs
Material selection and replenishment
Processing colour, insert and core changes
Machine Maintenance
Preventative maintenance checks
Improvement activities
Quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
Resolution of basic electrical and mechanical issues  The successful Trainee Maintenance Technician will need the following experience and skills:

An Engineering qualification, apprenticeship or BTEC, ideally mechanical biased.
Experience of working with a high-volume manufacturing area.
Experience of working in an environment which can become pressurised in line with production targets
A willingness to work nights on a 4 on, 4 off basis.
Any maintenance or hands on assembly experience would be highly desirable.
