Automation Project Engineer

Derbyshire

£55-60k doe + overtime & great benefits

  • Do you have experience with PLC coding, SCADA and HMI software?
  • Have you completed full life-cycle projects including URS, FDS, design & testing, commissioning and support manuals?
  • Interested in working for a true industry leader in their field?

This is a great opportunity to work for a specialist automation business, expanding their team on the back of recent contract wins and significant investment.

You’ll play a key role in the design, development and delivery of automation and control systems, working closely with Project Managers and Lead Engineers to manage full project lifecycles and ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and modify PLC, HMI and SCADA control systems to meet client requirements
  • Produce system schematics, process diagrams and technical documentation
  • Support factory testing and site commissioning activities
  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within specification
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and best practice

About You:

  • Experience in a Project Engineer or similar role within automation or control systems
  • Strong knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems and industrial communications
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and produce detailed designs
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites when required
