A leader in industrial automation solutions, delivering innovative, high-performing systems to clients across a wide range of industries. This is an expanding engineering team seeking an Electrical & Controls Engineer who is passionate about automation, problem-solving, and hands-on work in the field.

Reporting into the Electrical Manager, you will provide input to the E&I element of critical control system projects. You will provide a crucial link between the software and electrical teams, ensuring robust hardware and infrastructure solutions whilst also harnessing or developing your own software capabilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site electrical and control system surveys to gather technical requirements and assess project scope.

  • Design, develop, and implement PLC control logic using platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar.

  • Create and modify HMI/SCADA interfaces to meet project needs.

  • Support electrical design activities, including panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and I/O lists.

  • Lead or assist in system commissioning, troubleshooting, and start-up activities at customer facilities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, electricians, and mechanical engineers.

  • Provide technical support and ensure successful project delivery that meets quality, safety, and performance standards.

    Experience required:

  • Working Knowledge of BS7671 IET Wiring regulations and/or BS EN (phone number removed) Machinery Safety Standards

  • Hands-on experience programming and/or commissioning PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, etc.).

  • Working knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Profibus, Modbus, etc.).

  • Familiarity with electrical schematics and control panel design
