Electrical Design Engineer

£45,000 - £55,000 per annum

The company specialises in the design, supply, installation and commissioning of all aspects of logistic, line control and handling equipment within the manufacturing and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors. They continually improve their designs to create an abundance of tailormade and innovative solutions for their customers in the Food & Beverage, Healthcare and Homecare markets. Ensuring that each customer receives the best quality in product and service.

They can offer 20% overtime as well!!!

There is also the opportunity to be involved in 30% Panel Builder - 10% In charge of purchasing all equipment related to all their projects.

We are currently looking for candidates who want to make a difference and who wish to be part of our dynamic organisation in our UK office.

Responsibilities:

Create new design drawing on E- plan, AutoCad

Design : Develop schematic diagrams, Panel Layouts, 3D models and wiring diagrams for electrical control systems.

Component selection: Specify components including PLC, HMIs, Sensors tech.

Documentation: Generate bills of materials and technical documentation.

Compliance: Ensure designs comply with relevant safety standards and electrical codes.

Update electrical drawings and PowerPoint and other documentations

In charge of purchasing all equipment related to all projects

Maintain daily track of missing orders

Weekly follow up with various suppliers

Maintain track of inventory

Ability to manage many different jobs at any one time using both yours and Directors judgement to prioritise these jobs

Manage Company resources through effective and appropriate use and maintenance of equipment, tools, supplies, phones, and energy

Ability to travel 20% of the time (domestic and foreign) to various client sites QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma required; Bachelor of Applied Sciences preferred.

Reached A Level of math, physics and science

3 years Apprenticeship ONC, HNC is a plus, work in the industry, different background of EngineeringREQUIREMENTS

Must be able to perform work assignments that are of a technical, involved nature, requiring the use of judgement and independent thinking

Experience working with different voltages (24V AC/DC; 240V AC; 415V AC)

Reading & understanding of Electrical & Mechanical drawings

Build up a knowledge of CAD experience

Knowledge in EPLAN is a plus

Knowledge in conveyor systems is a plus

Knowledge in robots systems is a plus

Knowledge in PLC programming using Siemens / Allen Bradley is a plus

Knowledge in HMI programming using Siemens / Allen Bradley is a plus

Experience working away from home

Computer skills are required (including Microsoft office and other 'windows' packages)

Have good rapport and communication skills with customers
