The business now has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Technician to join the electrical team. Working as part of the Electrical team, you will be responsible for the installation and wiring of electrical control systems. Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Install and wire electrical control systems on bespoke machinery
  • Assemble and install electrical components, including motors, sensors, junction boxes, switches, safety devices, and control panels
  • Install cable management systems including tray, basket, conduit, trunking, and containment systems
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
  • Support Controls Engineers during machine build, testing, and commissioning phases
  • Route, prepare, label, and terminate electrical power and control cables in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications

This is just a summed-up list, and other duties will be required.

Skills & Experience required:

  • Familiarity with control systems, machine components, and industrial automation equipment
  • Knowledge and understanding of various electrical and mechanical hand tools
  • Understanding of electrical supplies and control voltages including 400V AC, 230V AC, and 24V DC systems
  • Experience with termination of electrical power and control cables in field-mounted and panel-mounted devices
  • Understanding of contactors, relays, motors, sensors, solenoids, safety circuits, and associated control equipment.
  • Formal Electrical Engineering Qualification (e.g., Apprenticeship Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC, HNC, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in an electrical installation or industrial electrical engineering role
