Graduate / Junior Project Engineer

Location: Gloucester

Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Are you a recent engineering graduate or apprentice with a passion for innovation, robotics, and automation? Ready to kickstart your career working on real-world projects for some of the UK’s leading brands?

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated graduate to join a well-established automation and robotics solutions provider, working within a dynamic and experienced team at a modern manufacturing facility in Gloucester.

Why join us?

Work with one of the UK’s largest system integrators in the robotics and automation sector.

Be part of a team delivering high-value projects across food, pharmaceutical, distribution, and automotive industries.

Gain hands-on experience and career development within a supportive and innovative environment.

What you’ll be doing:

Take part in the full project lifecycle — from design to manufacturing and on-site commissioning.

Assist in managing automation and robotics projects, ensuring they’re delivered on time and within budget.

Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments (mechanical, electrical, software, manufacturing).

Travel to client sites in the UK and occasionally overseas for installations and site visits.

What we’re looking for:

A degree (or HNC/HND) in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or Control Engineering.

A keen interest in automation, robotics, or conveyor systems.

Strong problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask.

Good communication and interpersonal skills — confident in client-facing roles.

IT literate, ideally with experience using Microsoft Office and 2D/3D CAD software.

Full UK driving licence (required)
