Junior Project Engineer – Automation Systems

£33,000 – £37,000

UK Based on site | Occasional Travel

An exciting opportunity for a Junior Project Engineer to join a team delivering automated manufacturing systems used across automotive and advanced engineering environments.

This role is ideal for a mechanically minded Junior Project Engineer early in their career who wants hands-on experience with automation systems, robotics and project delivery.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers while developing toward Project Engineer and Project Manager roles.

The Role

* Support engineers across the full automation project lifecycle

* Work with mechanical drawings, layouts and 3D CAD models

* Assist with automation system build, testing and commissioning

* Coordinate with design, controls, robotics and installation teams

* Support site visits, installs and technical queries

What We’re Looking For

* Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in automation

* Ability to read mechanical drawings

* Hands-on mindset with good problem-solving skills

* Strong teamwork and communication

* Ambition to develop into Project Engineering

Desirable:

* Experience in manufacturing, automation or automotive environments

* Exposure to robotics, fixtures or automated machinery

Qualifications

Level 4+ in Mechanical Engineering, Automation or Manufacturing

Mechanical apprenticeship also considered
