About The Role

EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.

 

We're looking for a Land Surveyor to join our team based in Calvert.

 

In this role, you will be supporting Senior Land Surveyor in establishing and maintaining the site survey control network to report and validate different construction stages. You will be responsible for undertaking land/topographic/hydrographic/measured building surveys, using a variety of specialist equipment and technology, such as robotics and 3D scanners.

 

Key part of this role is to analyse the data using plans, maps, charts and software such as AutoCAD, Trimble Business Centre, Star*Net, N4ce, Leica Infinity and GIS (geographic information systems) programs. You will prepare survey drawings with Senior Land Surveyor, presenting data to clients and writing reports. You will also coordinate with Site Engineers for the priority of the project regarding implementation, changes of plans or deviations, unusual activities or non-conformances rectification work and coordinate with construction team.

 

In addition, you will be responsible for setting out and as-built surveys, carrying out topographical and engineering surveys (Laser Scanner),  and manage registration and post processing of Point Cloud Data (including data extraction).

You will be also responsible for GNSS network surveying, precise traversing and precise levelling for breakdown from primary survey control and also overseeing and executing drone flight surveys.

About The Candidate

Key Skills and Qualifications:

HND/degree in Land Survey, or Geomatics, or equivalent.

Experience within a similar role

Excellent knowledge of Trimble and Leica total stations, levels (Leica LS15) and GNSS receivers.

Excellent AutoCAD skills to produce 2D and 3D drawings.

Proficient in using survey software like Trimble Business Centre, or Star*Net, N4ce, Leica Infinity.

GVC Drone qualification

Experience in preparing survey-related Method Statements and Risk Assessments (desirable).

Good communication skills (both verbal and written)

Solid report writing and compilation skills.

Driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential

CSCS card is essential
