Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Job Role:

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be working within a fast-paced logistics and distribution environment, ensuring that all machinery and equipment are operating efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance across a variety of automated systems, conveyors, and material handling equipment.

You will play a key role in minimising downtime, improving reliability, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with strong investment in automation and engineering.

Non-Negotiable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Strong electrical or mechanical maintenance background
  • Experience working in a fast-paced industrial environment (logistics, FMCG, manufacturing or similar)
  • Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Ability to fault find under pressure and work independently

Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Experience with conveyors, automated systems or material handling equipment
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to carry out both reactive and planned preventative maintenance
  • Good understanding of health & safety procedures
  • Team player with a proactive attitude

Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer:

  • PLC fault finding experience
  • Experience within a logistics or warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems
  • Continuous improvement or Lean experience
