Paint Technician

The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of a leading automotive manufacturer based in South Birmingham. This is an exciting temporary to permanent opportunity for an experienced Paint Technician to join a dynamic and growing team.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

Perform painting activities in line with IATF 16949 quality standards.
Inspect all parts before painting to ensure they are fit for purpose.
Clean, maintain, and adjust paint robots and application equipment.
Apply primers, basecoats, and clearcoats to required quality standards (adhesion, colour match, gloss levels, thickness, etc.).
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and reduce costs.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping (5S) and always follow health & safety procedures.

✅ What We're Looking For:

3-5 years' robotic painting experience (preferably within paint manufacturing or automotive).
Strong understanding of paint application processes, defect identification, and corrective actions.
Knowledge of production downtime escalation and quality standards.

💷 Pay Rate:

£15.50 per hour

⏰ Hours of Work:

22:00 - 06:00
Sunday - Thursday
