Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex automation, robotics and electrical control system faults.

Ensure all automated equipment and systems comply with relevant machinery safety legislation and electrical standards.

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance equipment performance, reliability and productivity.

Support the installation, commissioning and optimisation of new automated production equipment.

Work collaboratively with engineering, maintenance, production and external suppliers.

Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety policies, procedures and engineering standards.

You will ideally have:

HNC, HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.

Proven experience in an automation engineering or robotics-focused role.

Strong PLC programming experience, ideally with Siemens, Schneider or Allen-Bradley systems.

Good knowledge of industrial automation systems, electrical controls and control architecture.

Experience with industrial robotics and/or collaborative robots (cobots).

Ability to interpret, produce and modify electrical drawings.

Experience supporting engineering projects, including installation and commissioning.

Understanding of machinery safety legislation, safety circuits and associated systems.

Strong practical fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.

Experience working within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Desirable experience:

Industrial robot programming and integration.

Vision systems and automated inspection technology.

SCADA and MES systems.

Industrial networking and communication protocols.

Project engineering and capital equipment installations.

Continuous improvement and manufacturing process optimisation.
