Senior Electrical Instrumnetation and Controls Engineer

Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer required for a leading provider of engineering solutions.

The successful Design Engineer / Senor Design Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer will lead the design, development, and commissioning of automated systems, including PLC/SCADA, instrumentation, and control solutions. Ensure compliance with international standards and support project delivery from design to handover.

This is a hybrid role the successful Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer should expect to be in the office near Guildford 3 days a week.

Package:

£60,000-£65,000 per year depending on experience
75 days holiday + bank holidays
Hybrid working – 3 days a week in Guildford

Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development and commissioning of automated control systems
Develop electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for diverse projects
Design and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems including simulation and testing
Prepare technical documentation and select compliant field instrumentation and safety devices
Ensure adherence to international standards (IEC, BS, EN, ATEX, SIL) and support site commissioning and handover 

Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer Requirements:

Background in EC&I engineering, including design, controls, or commissioning
Proven experience in industrial automation and process control systems
Strong knowledge of instrumentation, panel design, and hazardous area equipment
Proficient in electrical design tools (e.g. EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical)
Familiar with industry standards and able to commute to Guildford 3 days a week
