Senior Structural Engineer

Our client, a highly respected and growing engineering consultancy based in Cheapside, City of London, is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their expanding team. Joining a well-established multidisciplinary team, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers, technicians, and project leaders on a broad range of high-profile schemes across commercial, residential, education, and mixed-use sectors. The role offers exposure to projects from early concept through to delivery, giving you the chance to influence design outcomes and work closely with architects and clients. You’ll be trusted to lead elements of projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to a culture that encourages fresh thinking and technical innovation.

  What You Need To Succeed
  
• Proven experience in structural design within a UK design consultancy.
  
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and relevant design codes.
  
• Proficiency with industry-standard software such as Tekla Structural Designer, MasterSeries, Robot, or similar.
  
• Ability to manage projects or work packages from concept through to delivery.
  
• Experience coordinating with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
  
• Strong communication skills and confidence in client-facing situations.
  
• Ability to mentor and support junior engineers within the team.
  
• Chartered Engineer status with the IStructE/ICE (or actively working towards) is highly desirable.
  
• A strong academic background with a BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering
