Site Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a major reinforced concrete (RC) structures package on a long-term civil engineering scheme in Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities:

Setting out and surveying for RC frame and groundwork activities

Ensuring technical compliance with drawings and specifications

*

Managing site paperwork including RAMS, permits, and QA documentation

*

Liaising with the project team and subcontractors to ensure work is delivered on schedule

*

Supporting the site management team with engineering solutions and technical advice

Requirements:

*

Proven experience in RC frame or heavy civil engineering projects

*

Proficient in the use of robotic total stations and AutoCAD

*

CSCS card (essential), SSSTS/SMSTS (desirable)

*

Strong communication and organisational skills

*

Able to work independently and take ownership of the engineering aspects on site

This is a freelance role operating outside IR35, offering a day rate of £350 – £400, depending on experience. The scheme is set to run for 10 months, with the potential for follow-on work.
