Our client, a leading Civil Engineering and Infrastructure specialist, is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team in Rickmansworth.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and maintain a strong health, safety, and environmental culture in line with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Ensure all work is delivered safely and in full compliance with environmental and company procedures.

  • Uphold quality standards by delivering defect-free work and promoting best practices.

  • Identify and implement value engineering opportunities to improve efficiency and outcomes.

  • Establish and manage survey control and setting out of works according to contract drawings.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with organisational and legal documentation requirements.

  • Resolve technical issues or unforeseen site challenges efficiently.

  • Prepare procurement schedules and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure adequate site resources.

  • Produce and manage ITPs, Task Briefings, two-week lookaheads, site diaries, and allocation sheets in coordination with the Site Agent.

    Required Experiences:

  • Proven experience in setting out on civil engineering projects.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and relevant regulations.

  • Proficient in using robotic total stations and EDM instruments.

  • Degree or HNC (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.

  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive, results-driven attitude.

  • Experience using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (desirable).

  • Knowledge or experience in temporary works coordination (desirable).

  • Valid CSCS card (desirable).

  • Training in cable avoidance, first aid, and NEBOSH or IOSH certification (desirable)
