We have a need for a freelance site engineer (with or without kit)
Outside IR35
We have a new requirement for a Consultant Site Engineer for holiday cover between 11/7/2025 – 1/9/2025 at Folkstone, Kent.
Radnor Park Ave, Folkestone CT19 5BN
The Folkestone: A Brighter Future project will see improvements made to roads, drainage networks, streetlights, and green areas. The project is spread over a few different roads in the centre of Folkestone from Radnor Park to Bouverie Square.

Experience required will be in setting out and surveys with robotic total station, locating existing services, working around live services, completing QA check sheets and diary, working with subcontractors.

The Main Duties for this role are:
Undertake day to day setting out duties with no supervision.
Manage and monitor all site sample / performance testing requirements and maintain records in line with the contract specification.
Assist the site QS / Project Manager with providing the relevant information for records and claims purposes.
Monitor and control temporary works.
Develop and maintain relations with client, suppliers and sub-contractors.

Setting out using total stations, and to be able to undertake traditional setting out
Read and review construction drawings
Undertake basic take-offs
Raising technical queries with designers and other members of the client team
Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures

What we are looking for:-

Minimum 5 years experience delivering complex projects

Relevant CSCS
Computer competence
Civil Engineering related qualification
Successful experience as a site engineer
