We have an exciting opportunity to join the growing team with our client who provides cutting edge solutions and services to Automated Warehouses and Distribution Centres globally! 
 
As an Automation Support Engineer you will need to be confident mechanically, electrically and have a solid understanding of Beckhoff PLC with high level fault finding skills and the ability to implement upgrades and make modifications.
 
Working with the dynamic and established team you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of various automated storage and retrieval systems including Shuttles, Autostores, Robotics and AMR's.
 
Key Responsibilities of an Automation Support Engineer (Controls)

Respond to automation faults and breakdowns minimising downtime.
Fault finding and modifications to control systems.
Prioritize faults and breakdowns demonstrating a structured problem solving approach.
Collaborating with the engineering team to resolve complex issues.
Provide technical support with modifications, maintenance, upgrades for existing safety and PLC Control Systems.
Carry out system check on PLC/HMI/SCADA systems. Qualifications, Skills and Experience of an Automation Support Engineer (Controls)

Engineering Apprenticeship, HNC/ONC
Experience with fault finding and making modifications to PLC's
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience of Variable Speed Drives, Motors, and Safety Circuits
Experience fault-finding on industrial networks including Asi and Profibus.  Salary and Benefits of an Automation Support Engineer (Controls) 

Salary £52,000 - £55,000 DOE
