About the School
Teach Now is recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school in Barnet for a dynamic, creative, and forward-thinking Computing Teacher to join the team from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role, ideal for an ambitious teacher eager to inspire digital literacy, coding skills, and technological curiosity in students across Key Stages 3 to 5.

Located in the heart of Barnet, this inclusive, mixed secondary school is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and known for its commitment to high academic standards, student well-being, and staff development. The computing department is a key area of growth, with access to modern ICT suites, interactive whiteboards, and industry-standard software.

The school has an excellent reputation for its strong community ethos, well-behaved pupils, and supportive leadership. With a focus on digital learning and future-ready skills, computing is a popular and expanding subject area, especially at GCSE and A-Level.

The Role
As the new Computing Teacher, you will:
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3–KS5, including GCSE and A-Level
• Inspire students to develop problem-solving, coding, and computational thinking skills
• Stay up to date with industry trends to bring real-world relevance into the classroom
• Differentiate lessons to support SEND and EAL learners where required
• Contribute to the wider curriculum and support enrichment activities such as coding clubs, robotics competitions, or digital media workshops
• Work collaboratively with a committed department and receive regular CPD and mentoring

We Are Looking For Someone Who Is
• A qualified teacher with QTS and the right to work in the UK
• Confident delivering the UK computing curriculum across Key Stages 3 to 5
• Enthusiastic about preparing students for digital careers of the future
• Skilled in using a variety of software tools, programming languages (e.g. Python, HTML, JavaScript), and learning platforms
• Passionate about education, creativity, and inclusive learning
