Our client is looking for a Controls Engineer to help shape the future of industrial automation. They are looking for a talented and motivated individual to become part of their expanding Software Engineering team, where you'll play a key role in integrating advanced machinery and devices to tackle complex automation challenges. Our client is a leading specialist in industrial automation, delivering cutting-edge solutions across a range of industries.

The Role:

To support the delivery of a range of exciting new projects, our client is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer with a strong background in programming and integrating industrial robotic systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with robots, including commissioning, developing TP and KAREL programs, and applying them to solve complex automation challenges in an industrial setting.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing software across a diverse codebase, working with a wide range of industrial robotics and control platforms.

This role can be hybrid, with regular travel to our client’s offices. You’ll also be expected to visit client sites across a range of sectors, including defence, to support project delivery and system integration activities.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience programming industrial robots (e.g., Fanuc or similar)

  • A STEM degree, preferably in Engineering or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of industrial controls and automation environments

  • Confident working with simulation tools and commissioning processes

  • Able to obtain security clearance (British Citizenship required)
