Controls Engineer

Up to £50,000 per annum DOE
Double Days (Contractually) – Vast Majority Days Regular.

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Controls Engineer with strong electrical expertise to support our clients manufacturing operations. This is an important role ensuring that all plant equipment and systems remain operational, safe, and efficient.

Monday – Friday – No weekends – Early Finish on Fridays
33 Days Holiday (25 Banks)
Overtime on tap 1.3X midweek (1.5X after 2 hours), 1.5X Sat, 2X Sun
Production and Attendance bonus (Paid every 3/6 months)

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative and corrective maintenance tasks across site equipment.
Develop, write, and execute PLC programs and support firmware upgrades.
Perform diagnostics, testing, and system debugging on a range of equipment including robots and field devices.
Maintain site facilities (e.g., boilers, chillers, compressors, lighting, fire systems, building infrastructure).
Ensure accurate documentation of all maintenance activities in our computer systems.
Support commissioning and development of new equipment or plant modifications.
Uphold high standards of safety, hygiene, and organisation in the maintenance department.
Ensure smooth shift handovers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting to end users.
What We Are Looking For:

Hands-on experience with robots and PLC programming (Siemens).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical electrical drawings.
Resilient under pressure, with excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of health & safety and environmental best practices.
Forklift licence or other specific certifications are a plus.
