Our client, based in the East Cheshire area near Handforth, are looking for an experienced an Electrical Control System Engineer.

This is a permanent role that will pay a basic of up to £55k p.a + overtime + Site payments of £65/day (inc travel time) for 8 hour day and £100/day for 9 hours.

The company is located in East Cheshire and commutable from Stockport, Handforth, Macclesfield and all areas of South Manchester.

Role & Responsibilities summary:

The Controls engineering team are responsible for all existing machine designs & changes and are looking for another control system engineer.

  • Proficient in Rockwell RSLogix5000 (or similar software), PLC, HMI and Motion control.
  • The ideal candidate will also be capable of Electrical Design with EPlan and AutoCAD.
  • Full Electrical Control Panel Assembly including, backplate layout and drilling, cutting trunking, cable labelling and wiring / testing.
  • Ideally some knowledge of robotics.
  • The position will involve worldwide travel of up to 2 weeks at a time to support the installation of new machine designs on site.
  • This position will suit somebody making the next move on their career ladder and further career progression.
  • Graduates would be considered.
  • Good understanding of Machine Safety and working to a range of Standards.
