Role: Deputy Maintenance Team Leader

Location: Burton-Upon-Trent

Shifts: 4o4o Days and Nights

Salary: £50,000, Pension Contribution and private healthcare

The Company

am proud to be working with a global systems integrator within the warehousing industry, the company design, manufacture and install automation for product retrieval and storage to then provide a resident site maintenance team. Working with some huge names across the UK. Constantly growing in the UK and now operational in over 60 countries across the world.

On this site in Burton, there has been over £20 million invested recently with the latest tech and automation they have grown from being able to process 20,000 orders a day to 40,000 after having sustained success since the pandemic it has increased demand on their products on site. They are looking for a Deputy Team Leader to join the site and help with managing their shift team from a hands on perspective. With the site due to expand by an additional 50% over the next 2 years this role will be come important as the site develops

The Role

As a MDTL your day to day responsibilities will include:

Working alongside your Maintenance Team leader making sure that you are both happy with the 4 engineers on shift and reporting any problems either way
Stepping up into a Team Leader role in their absence
Promote a strong safety culture and adhere to Health & Safety and statutory procedures
Prepare and chair Daily Review Meetings with Key Stakeholders
Undertake analysis of CMMS data to assist forward planning for CI opportunities
Working on highly automated state of the art equipment – including Automated shuttle systems, Some of the latest robotics, Various Conveyor Systems just to name a few!
The Individual

We are looking for a MDTL that:

Can work as a multi-skilled engineer – working safely electrically and mechanically
Be confident communicating and working as part of a team
An Engineer that holds a recognised qualification
Perform independently when required and under pressure in certain scenarios
