Electrical Design Engineer Address- Catcliffe, Rotherham Our client is a leading name in industrial automation, specializing in robotics and aerospace solutions. The Opportunity

We are assisting our client during a period of significant growth in their search for a talented Electrical Design Engineer. This role is crucial to the continued success and expansion of their dynamic team, focusing on the development of advanced electrical solutions for robotic and electromechanical systems used in factory and process automation.

The Role

The selected candidate will play a key role in designing and developing electrical systems, with a particular focus on industrial control cabinets and other essential automation components. The position requires close collaboration across various departments to deliver safe and effective solutions that meet client needs.
Key responsibilities include:

Utilizing EPLAN or similar electrical design software to create electrical solutions.
Developing detailed 2D electrical panel layouts and electrical schematics.
Occasionally engaging in hands-on activities, such as fault-finding and problem-solving in the workshop.
The role demands excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both internal and external stakeholders, as well as to maintain comprehensive technical documentation. The position involves travel to client sites across the UK, particularly in the defense and aerospace sectors, so candidates must be UK citizens.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals with:

A degree, HND, or HNC in electrical engineering or equivalent qualifications/experience.
Previous experience in an electrical design role, with a strong ability to create electrical schematics and panel layouts.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills, capable of working independently to meet project milestones.
A keen interest in learning new technologies and strong problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
A valid UK driving license.
Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Flexible start and finish times available
