Job Title: Electronics Engineer
Location: Glasgow, Scotland (hybrid – relocation support available)
Salary: (depending on experience) + Excellent Benefits
If you are passionate about shaping the future of clean power and are looking to take your next step with a company at the forefront of robotics, drones, and industrial electrification, we want to hear from you! A global leader in intelligent energy solutions and automation systems, are looking for an Electronics Engineer to work on cutting-edge applications—from warehouse robotics and AGVs to electric transport and smart factories.
As part of a dynamic engineering team, you’ll work on the full product lifecycle—from concept and simulation through to testing and mass production. You’ll collaborate closely with specialists in embedded software, mechanical design, EMI, magnetics, and systems architecture. This is a role with both technical depth and creative scope!
About the Role:

  • Design and develop switch-mode power supplies (SMPS) and battery chargers used in automation, robotics, and transportation
  • Lead technical tasks across simulation, schematic design, and system integration
  • Work on topologies including LLC, Phase-Shift, Active PFC, and DC-DC converters
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers across mechanical, control, and software disciplines
  • Support EMC/EMI design and testing
  • Use tools such as Simplis, SPICE, Mathcad, and Simulink to model and analyse system performance
  • Contribute to design reviews, product documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • As this is a global organization there may be opportunities to work out of offices in Europe, Asia, and the US.
    What We Need From You:
  • A degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a power electronics or embedded hardware role
  • Knowledge of power converter design, including Buck, Boost, LLC, and PFC topologies
  • Familiarity with laboratory tools such as oscilloscopes, meters and dataloggers.
  • Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout guidance, and lab validation tools
  • An understanding of magnetic component design, thermal management, and EMC principles
  • Familiarity with digitally controlled power systems or motor control is a plus
  • A proactive mindset and interest in working on global, cross-functional projects
    Why Relocate to Glasgow?
Glasgow offers the perfect mix of career opportunity and quality of life.
Whether you're into buzzing city life or quiet green spaces, Glasgow gives you both. Think world-class music, museums that are interesting (and free!), proper pubs, ridiculously good food (from haggis tacos to Michelin-starred spots), and weekend escapes to beaches, mountains, and lochs — all within reach.
  • Love a bit of character? Glasgow’s full of it — from leafy West End townhouses to gritty murals and chatty locals who’ll give you directions and recommend a band to go see.
  • Got kids? Great schools, loads of parks, and an actual science centre with a planetarium (it’s as fun as it sounds).
  • Need space? You’ll get more house (and garden) for your money than down south — and you can still walk to great coffee.
  • Quick getaways? Edinburgh’s 50 mins away, and the Highlands start practically on your doorstep. Ferry to a whisky island? Easy.
  • Into community? People here are friendly — like, actually talk-to-you-on-the-bus friendly.
It’s a city that punches above its weight in music, art, tech, and friendliness — without the eye-watering rent. So if you're up for working on cool projects and a genuinely high quality of life, Glasgow’s got you.
If interested, please send over an updated CV
