The Role:

Reporting to Head of Finance at Saab UK, this role will have responsibility for the production of accounts and input to Saab UK. Providing strong financial and commercial support to the management team at Saab Seaeye.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for extracting and analysing key financial data to support the creation of company budgets, accurate project costings and margin calculations. Collaborate closely with the Finance team to ensure effective control and oversight of financials, while ensuring a clear understanding of the financial performance across all projects

Pro-actively manage cash flow and working capital movements ensuring that tight financial control are maintained in relation to all key financial issues and that all financial obligations are met.

Produce assess, streamline and ensure accurate and timely production of all financial information including monthly Management reports, annual statutory financial statements, Financial reporting,, the Annual budget and forecasts.

Ensure all financial reporting requirements are met, providing accurate and timely financial information to support informed business decisions, particularly during periods of change, shifting demands and organisational transformation.

To provide Management support and guidance to members of the finance team encouraging collaboration.

Help manage the finance team in an effective and professional manner.

To provide a key and credible interface with the stakeholders and employees of the business and with external professional advisers

To liaise with the Financial controller and members of the Management team to formulate financial targets for the business including KPI and budgets in accordance with the strategy determined by the Board.

To ensure Financial Controls are robust and inline with Saab ICM requirements, and ensure approvals follow the published Saab UK DOA.

To maintain relevant registers of financial commitments including any leases or other contracts.

Daily Tasks will include:

Monthly accounts closing procedure and reporting

Payroll journal

Balance Sheet & Stock reconciliations

Cost of sales calculations

Bad Debt provisions

Prepayments, Accruals and Provisions

Creditors and supplier reconciliations

Provisions

Fixed asset ledger maintenance

Interco balance reconciliations

Sales revenue recognition

Long term contracts cost and revenue recognition along with Deferred revenue and WIP

Qualifications and Skills:

Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)

Degree or equivalent

Accounting/ Management Accounting
