Overview: Working alongside our client, a leading injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a skilled Injection Moulding Engineer to join their established team in support of continued business growth.

    Remit:
  • This position will suit a skilled Injection Moulding Process Technician who is looking to continue their own personal development and career progression
  • Candidates MUST HAVE demonstrable experience within injection moulding manufacturing with the ability to set, condition and optimise injection moulding machines
  • Candidate must also demonstrate experience in process improvements with leadership experience being a distinct advantage.
    Role:
  • As an Injection Moulding Engineer you will be required to set machinery and production line equipment in line with production requirements, to ensure targets and deliveries are met.
  • You will be required to assist with planning and scheduling, and production.
  • Runs, considering factors like demand, resource availability, and lead times.
  • Monitor performance of all tooling, high-level automation and machinery equipment, carrying out continuous improvements to deliver gains in output and efficiency.
  • Analyse and optimise the injection moulding process to achieve desired part quality, cycle time, and production efficiency.
  • Be able to Troubleshoot equipment including Robots when issues may arise during the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain quality control procedures to ensure parts meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in the injection moulding process and work to implement those changes.
  • Upskilling manufacturing technicians to improve knowledge and understanding of engineering matters Ensure all reasonable steps are taken in any setting and maintenance.
  • Responsible for ensuring that pre-start checks are carried out on all machines, prior to production commencement.
    Experience Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in injection moulding machine supported by industry recognized certification
  • Experience of working within a high-volume manufacturing area with complex products.
  • Experience with automation preferably ABB robots but training can be provided.
  • Have a good understanding of mould maintenance and repair.
  • Able to demonstrate personal success and leadership in the achievement of continuous, part or process improvement activities against a clear set of objectives.
  • Proven ability to develop others through coaching and support.
  • Computer-literate, being fully conversant with MS Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Able to work independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Able to operate confidently and communicate effectively at all levels
